Project Description
MP consulting were appointed by Robinson steel fabricators to complete the construction design for the structural steel to new academy secondary school.
Working closely with the principal contractor and design team, MP scope included the main frame & floors, façade & roof light support arrangements, finalising support for the hall/performance area and detailing of the sports hall.
Project Challenges
Limited time frame to complete the design - MP succeeded in this challenge by bringing the design to the status where the main frame element was frozen in just a week.
The buildings geometry comprises radial grids with accommodation surrounding an inner courtyard, resulting in complex modelling.
