Our Civil & Structural Engineering Team

Richard has 30 years of Consulting Engineering experience working in both the private and public sectors, and brings his wide range of skills to MP Consulting. Key elements of his project management expertise include maintaining excellent service and an exceptional eye for detail. Working with key clients to co-ordinate a team based consulting engineering approach, Richard offers a strategic approach to both client management and company development.

Richard is a scuba enthusiast and would love to set up a corporate scuba diving club

A highly competent lead technician on a range of projects from minor refurbishments through to multi-million pound regeneration schemes.

Craig enjoys the variety of work that MP Consulting offers, allowing him to showcase his wide-ranging civil and structural design experience.

Craig is a rugby enthusiast and junior rugby coach.

Working with MP Consulting Engineers is Jack’s first job after completing his degree in IT from York College.

Jack undertakes 3D modelling assignments and is showing himself to be a real team player. He is motivated and ambitious and will go far within this industry.

Dan is an experienced Building Surveyor with extensive knowledge of property assessment and construction standards.

He specialises in delivering thorough building inspections, identifying potential risks and providing clear, practical advice to clients.

In his spare time he mainly enjoys playing cricket and golf and spending time with his family and friends.

William is a University student graduate working alongside Dan and the other engineers to further his knowledge and gain experience in the field.

He has a couple of hobbies outside of work including surfing, cricket and farming.

Leylani is the Administrator within MP Consulting Engineers, assisting with coordinating daily office operation and supporting the engineering teams.

Outside of work, she enjoys sitting out in the sun with a book or socialising with her friends and family.

At heart, we are team players. Collaborative interaction with clients, design stakeholders, end-users, and approval bodies is fundamental to how we navigate through construction design. Our design approach is simple and tested – work with the client team to establish and understand the project brief, break the brief into defined objectives, apply the appropriate resources to achieve the project objectives.

MP Consulting was formed in 2004 by Richard Murray & Stephen Parker. A varied portfolio of projects with extensive repeat commissions allowed the development of the company with steady growth over a sustained period.

Collaboration with large steel fabrication contractors at an early stage of our journey allowed MP to provide detailed engineering design of steel frame structures on a number of prestigious projects, leading to opportunities to provide full Engineering Services.

We work in multiple sectors including retail, education, industrial, residential, leisure, and health sector. These projects include providing input from pre-planning feasibility and survey, cost planning, and tender action.

Our business is built on extensive repeat commissions with a variety of clients. Our client base comprises a combination of Developer, Main Contractor, Lead Consultant, and individual commissions.

We are proud to have supplier agreements with national food retail companies, working on multiple workstreams within these businesses.
