MP Consulting has been able to deliver a wide range of project types and sizes, due to the engineering professionals we have in the team. The team works collaboratively within the company and with other project members, allowing individuals to develop their individual knowledge, experience, and skills within a productive environment.

We are all engineers, but it is always nice for our clients to have a face to put to a name.

Richard

Richard has 30 years of Consulting Engineering experience working in both the private and public sectors, and brings his wide range of skills to MP Consulting. Key elements of his project management expertise include maintaining excellent service and an exceptional eye for detail. Working with key clients to co-ordinate a team based consulting engineering approach, Richard offers a strategic approach to both client management and company development.

Richard is a scuba enthusiast and would love to set up a corporate scuba diving club

Steve

A skilled civil and structural engineer with detailed knowledge of his profession. Steve has experience managing a range of projects from domestic through to multi-million pound mixed use schemes. Maintaining a dynamic approach to the practice has ensured its ability to expand across all business sectors while maintaining the business’s personal approach with its clients.

Craig

A highly competent lead technician on a range of projects from minor refurbishments through to multi-million pound regeneration schemes.

Craig enjoys the variety of work that MP Consulting offers, allowing him to showcase his wide-ranging civil and structural design experience.

Craig is a rugby enthusiast and junior rugby coach.

Scott

Scott is a versatile and highly experienced member of the team and can turn his hand to any sort of project, whether by AutoCad or Revit Structures.

“There’s not much I haven’t drawn” he says of his career, which spans Heritage, Medical and Council work, Foundation and Structure.

Outside of work he likes playing Guitar (6- and 4-string) and reading History and Biographies.

He has no intention of joining a Corporate Scuba Diving Club.

Jack

Working with MP Consulting Engineers is Jack’s first job after completing his degree in IT from York College.

Jack undertakes 3D modelling assignments and is showing himself to be a real team player. He is motivated and ambitious and will go far within this industry.

Ryan

Ryan brings a varied portfolio of civil and structural engineering experience with an emphasis on delivering comprehensive detailing & illustration.

He is client-focused, motivated & works well in a team. Projects Ryan has been involved in include Schools, Care Homes, Hotels, Retail & Residential developments.

Ryan enjoys walking & exploring the Yorkshire Countryside.

Joe

Joe is currently finishing his HNC/HND civil engineering course at Leeds College of Building.

He started with the company mid-2020 and works on both domestic and commercial jobs using 2D and 3D software for Civil and Structural engineering design.

Joe is the older brother of Sam.

Mike

Mike is an enthusiastic engineer with over 14 years’ experience working as a Structural Engineer for large multidisciplinary engineering consultancies, and smaller independently owned practices.

He is skilled in the design of all main structural materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber and strives to exceed client’s expectations.

David

David is a Chartered Engineer and is brand new to the team.

Sam

Sam is currently completing his HNC/HND civil engineering course at Leeds College of Building.

Sam started with the company at the beginning of 2021 and works on both domestic and commercial jobs using 2D and 3D software.

Sam is the younger brother of Joe.

Justine

Justine has a varied employment history in which she has gained a wide range of administrative skills. She has recently become the new Office Manager within the business and is excited to see what challenges the new role brings.

In her free time, Justine enjoys cooking, socialising with friends and visiting new places.

Jeff

Jeff joined MP Consulting from a structural steelwork background in the portal frame and modular buildings as well as experience within the highly regulated nuclear sector. Having worked from the ground up, he has an understanding of how designs on paper are turned into real-world solutions and will be working towards his technician membership with the ICE with MP Consulting.

Outside of work Jeff is a keen musician playing guitar and plays for a local touch rugby team. He also enjoys plenty of outdoor pursuits including hiking and surfing.

Georgina

Georgina is the Project Coordinator within MP Consulting Engineers.

Being part of a busy team is what Georgina enjoys, ensuring projects run smoothly for clients and the team.

Outside of work, Georgina likes to attend live music events, explore the outdoors and socialise with friends and family.

Will

I’m William currently a university student working part time and gaining experience at this great company. I have a couple of hobbies outside study and work which are surfing, cricket and farming.

At heart, we are team players. Collaborative interaction with clients, design stakeholders, end-users, and approval bodies is fundamental to how we navigate through construction design. Our design approach is simple and tested – work with the client team to establish and understand the project brief, break the brief into defined objectives, apply the appropriate resources to achieve the project objectives.

MP Consulting was formed in 2004 by Richard Murray & Stephen Parker. A varied portfolio of projects with extensive repeat commissions allowed the development of the company with steady growth over a sustained period.

Collaboration with large steel fabrication contractors at an early stage of our journey allowed MP to provide detailed engineering design of steel frame structures on a number of prestigious projects, leading to opportunities to provide full Engineering Services.

We work in multiple sectors including retail, education, industrial, residential, leisure, and health sector. These projects include providing input from pre-planning feasibility and survey, cost planning, and tender action.

Our business is built on extensive repeat commissions with a variety of clients. Our client base comprises a combination of Developer, Main Contractor, Lead Consultant, and individual commissions.

We are proud to have supplier agreements with national food retail companies, working on multiple workstreams within these businesses.
